In the countryside of Sonoma County, in Northern California, there is a place dedicated to helping children and families in need.  A place they can turn to for help, caring and healing.

Founded in 1978, Family Life Center is a truly exceptional residential treatment program and private school.  Integrating state-of-the-art treatment and educational programs in a nurturing family environment, Family Life Center has achieved a distinctive “Learning Community”.

Family Life Center offers a rare opportunity for children to transform dysfunctional and destructive patterns into positive, self-sustaining values that encourage a healthy, balanced way of life. Our program is designed to teach students to integrate and ground important life decisions in core values such as love, joy, compassion, and equanimity.

“Being here at Family Life Center, I had to face reality about my actions, my life and myself.  I had to do some very intense work with those parts.  It got real scary doing that kind of work because I never really took responsibility for myself until I came here.”
